$65 DIY Porch Curtains

Bugs. Skeeters. Flies. Oh My!

I wanted my porch to have beautiful flowing white curtains that can also keep bugs out. I did not want to spend a fortune. Here is how I did my entire 12×16 porch for $65.

Supplies:

Sheer white curtains 8 sets/16 panels

1/2 inch conduit fitting (set of 25)

1/2 inch conduit metal tubing 10’ (5 tubes)

I ordered 8 sets (16 panels) from Amazon
Total for curtains $44.96 (without rewards)
Lowe’s Total $19.88

It’s super simple! Measure rods. Cut to length. Slide curtains on rod. Screw brackets to hold rods. Repeat for all sides.

We taped the ends with electrical tape to prevent bugs from going into pipes.
My husband installing the rods. We did it at night after it cooled down.
My dog BoBo approves.
Turned out beautiful!
I tied the curtains to the posts with twine so they won’t blow everywhere. I untie them to fully enclose the porch which keeps bugs out.
